Southeast Boise neighborhoods began with the annexation of a village along the Oregon Trail over a century ago. The village formed a boundary between urban and residential life that has since grown into a residential-urban landscape where people from all walks of life live, work and learn through its unique lifestyle and amenities — parks, river, greenbelt, university, easy access to nearby mountains, and walkability from its west-most Areas to downtown.
SENA’S VISION
SENA encourages continued investment in public amenities that preserve the distinctiveness and livability of existing neighborhoods. As Boise’s largest neighborhood association, SENA represents the interests of people in SouthEast Boise who own and occupy single- and multi-family homes, rent, and own while managing property. SENA reaches out to City, County, and State agencies and their affiliates to incorporate shared goals. Our vision is reflected in SENA’s bylaws.
SENA also works with other neighborhood associations to proactively develop city-wide information and recommendations in the face of Boise’s growth.
Today, the SouthEast Neighborhood Association (SENA) — through its elected officers and board of directors — officially represents the interests of all neighbors who live and work in southeast Boise.
